ECommerce Web Design - Toddlers2Kids

The owner of Toddlers2Kids, already had a successful business manufacturing and selling childrens underwear and nightwear, but was keen to explore new avenues of marketing his products.

As such he approached Webcreationz, and worked with us to produce a first site which would be used to sell his childrens underwear online. He was anxious about keeping expenditure on the site to a minimum and maximising cash flow. As such he decided that for the initial site he would not go for a full ecommerce solution, but for an intermediate solution.

This encompassed us providing him with a website which contained the full functionality of a ecommerce site, including shopping basket and checkout, but which at the end of the checkout process the customer was asked to send a cheque to Toddlers2Kids to pay for the order.

We at Webcreationz were doubtful that such an approach would be successful, but it has over the last 12 months generated a number of sales, and the client had now asked us to proceed to the next phase, and redevelop the site to include full online ordering facilities and secure credit card ordering. The new site also includes a much wider range of his clothing, including character nightwear and pajamas. We are currently in the final stages of beta testing of this new site, and expect it to go live within the next month. The new site has also been developed with a much cleaner look and feel, and has also been optimised to allow deep indexing of the site via the search engines. The entire development cycle for the initial took approximately ten weeks and the client is very happy with the site, and it eagerly anticipating the release of the new site.
